Greenfield vs Infill - what are the sales figures telling us?
The WA Planning Commission has set an ambitious target of increasing infill by 50% by 2031, in order to cater to the anticipated 2.2 million residents who will be living in the Perth City.
While this is a progressive target, WA did in fact increase its ratio of infill by 32% in the 2014 year demonstrating that we are definitely on our way.
But despite this positive sign, there is still a lot of demand for greenfields with suburbs like Ellenbrook selling over 982 lots, Baldivis 2256 blocks and Byford 1433 lots between 1/10/12 - 1/10/14.
What's more, those people choosing greenfields over infill are a totally different customer.
